Background: Allergic rhinitis is inflammation of the nasal mucosa. It is a risk factor for the development of asthma and a chronic disease that untreated tends to chronic complications, recurrent exacerbations and physically affects the individual as well as their quality of life, school performance or work and it hits the family economy, raising the drug consumption expenditure, for all this decided to make this work.To determine the behavior of allergic rhinitis by age and sex, sensitivity to allergy testing, medication use and the association with other allergic diseases.

Methods: A cross-sectional study, observational and interpretive court in patients of both sexes over 16 years of age with symptoms of rhinitis. For demographic data, concomitant diseases and allergic symptoms frequency to make tables for nominal variables were performed.

Results: Of the 1528 patients who were seen in consultation allergy, 313 patients had allergic rhinitis for a 20.48 % you can see that there was a greater number of females in the age group 16 to 30 and from 46 to 60 years and in male 0-15 of behaving as described by international statistics. Skin tests showed increased sensitivity to Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus with 42.49% in relation to other aeroallergens.

Conclusions: The 20.48 % of patients seen in our clinic suffering from Allergic Rhinitis and there is a higher incidence in the age group minor of 15 years male predominance. Patients are more sensitized to mite Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus compared to other aeroallergens.
