Learning Objectives:
1. Understand the genetic and immunological mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE);

2. Recognize the importance of sensitization to food allergens in EoE in children and adults, comparatively;

3. Update on the diagnostic investigation "in vivo" and "in vitro" of IgE-mediated and non- IgE-mediated sensitization to food in patients with EoE;

4. Learn and know how to use the main dietary approaches employed in the treatment of EoE.
