Learning Objectives:
Toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) and Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) are life-threatening adverse drug reactions(ADR) characterized by massive epidermal necrosis and mucosal involvement.  SJS/ TEN sometimes start with edematous papules, and it may be difficult to distinguish these severe forms of (ADR) from ordinary drug reactions early in their course.  Because earlier the start of intensive treatment by correct diagnosis, better the prognosis would be obtained. Current diagnostic criteria, pathogenesis and algorism of treatment will be presented in this lecture.
