Learning Objectives:
1. to be able to describe the rationale for comparing three step-up strategies for treatment of asthma inadequately controlled by moderate-dose Inhaled Corticosteroid treatment alone.

2. To describe the main findings of a study comparing step-up in treatment with: 1. higher dose ICS'  2. addition of a long-acting beta agonist; and 3. addition of a long-acting anti-muscarinic agent.
