Cozumel (Cancún Center)
Learning Objectives:
The audience should understand the crucial importance of the subjective symptom of "itch" in the symptomatology and pathophysiology of atopic eczema. Contrary to many skin diseases there is no real "primary lesion" in eczema, however, it starts with itch as "dermatose invisible". The mechanisms of itch induction and the subsequent development of eczematous inflammation will be discussed. Finally the audience will understand the most important principles of antipruritic treatment.
