Introdution: Asthma is one of the most common chronic conditions in children. Asthma is a leading cause of chonic illness and the most frequent admitting diagnosis in children finding have revealed the various contributions of environmental factors to the incidence of Asthma.
Objective:This study is an attempt to recognize some influential factors in the incidence and recurrent of Asthma among children aged 2 years to 8 years.
Materials and Methods: it is of cross-sectional descriptive analytical type of study carried out with two groups, each of which consisting of 100 children. The first group the healthy ones, were taken as control group and the second with Asthma ,taken as case group. Enough care was taken in selecting uniform member in control group. Afterward, questionnaires were prepared and filled. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS.
Results: This study showed in comparison with healthy children asthmatic patients had significantly more history of low birth weight, passive smoking, large family size,repeated upper respiratory infection and early feeding with cow milk or supplemental feeding.
Discussion: According to results of this study, low birth weight, Family history of Allergy, Large family size, Passive smoking had been associated with children Asthma.
